I Know... I'm a Dork!

Ever heard of e-mealz?  We signed up for it!  I am SO excited.  We went grocery shopping and saved a TON of $$$ too!  The fact that my meals are planned out for me and they are simple (and cost effective!) is so exciting!  It is official... I know... I am a dork.  Hopefully this will help us in many ways.  Eating at home not only saves $$$, but also saves CALORIES!  Hooray for e-mealz!

My school schedule is changing in the spring.  Hopefully this will give me more time to take care of myself and my family!  One more final exam and then I can relax.  I can already breathe a little easier.  Ahhh...

This morning, as I was driving across the lake from taking C to school I thought about how beautiful it was.
I did NOTHING to deserve this beautiful view.  God is such an amazing artist!

Seeing this sunrise motivated me.  It made me want to RUN.
As soon as I got home, I changed clothes, grabbed the leash, and headed out with Darcy, my eleven month old miniature dachshund.  That little dog made it 2.3 miles!  She's tougher than I thought.  Of course, it was NOT all running.  We did walk some too.  She's now passed out on the couch.  I guess I wore her out!

Here is another picture I took of the sky when Darcy and I were out.  Sorry about the shabby photography.  The pictures were taken with my phone.

What a great start to a great week!
Thank you, GOD, for the beautiful sunrise!

Ouch!

Today was our Spring Break Zoo Day.  We try to go a few times a year and usually one of those times falls during Spring Break.  C is out of town with my parents, so M and I went with some friends.  It was fun!

I did NOT expect it to be as sunny as it was today.  Luckily I am the only one of the two of us with rosy pink skin to show for our time in the sun.  Ouch!

Yesterday I chose to do some Wii Fit.  I forget how much I enjoy it until I take the time to play.  It was fun!  I spent 30 minutes on the Wii.  The yoga and balancing activities are the ones I enjoy the most.
I am going to try and spend at least 30 minutes every other day doing some type of physical activity.  I NEED this and I know it.  NO MORE EXCUSES, BETH!!!  It is time to MOVE!

After the yoga and the zoo today I will have to say that my legs are a little sore.  Ouch!  But it's a good ouch!  This is something I need to feel more often.  Being physically fit is another part of taking care of my body.  It is MY responsibility to take care of the body HE gave me.
One way I would like to exercise is to run.  I know TONS of people that do it.  It is just so intimidating to me.  I think I will feel like a dork if I'm running outside.  I don't have the right clothing.  I don't have the right shoes.  I don't have time without kids... excuses, excuses!  Maybe I'll eventually get over this.  Until I do, I need to take advantage of the things I know that I CAN do.  Like utilizing all the different games we have for the Wii.  I even have a Zumba game.  I LOVE Zumba!

I WILL do this.  Tomorrow will be exercise day number two for this week and it WILL happen!

I'm gonna be hurting tomorrow!

I have been to the fitness center FOUR DAYS IN A ROW! WOOHOO!!!! I'm gonna be sore tomorrow! That's okay though... what is the point in going if I don't feel it, right? My goal is to go 5 out of every 7 days. Even if it's just for 30 minutes. Number one- I need to see some results. Number two- I need to make this part of my routine. Number three- I'm paying for it, so I need to go! It isn't as horrible as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, I still don't like it. I guess I'm just getting used to feeling goofy in front of people. Today was the most difficult day. I had not even gone upstairs yet and saw this cute skinny girl that I went to school with. Let me make this clear, I have NO issues with this person. She's always been very nice to me. It just was intimidating to see someone that I haven't seen in so long while I was doing something that makes me feel ridiculous... which is what these feelings are-RIDICULOUS!!! I know that there's no reason to feel like that, but it's just REALLY hard for me! God created me and I know that I am beautiful in his sight. Plus, we are all at the fitness center for the same reason. So why should I feel goofy about exercising? At least I'm there! Anyway, today my baby girl is SEVEN!!! In two weeks my baby boy is three! They aren't babies anymore. That is good and bad. No more diapers... YAY!!! They're growing up... :( The older that they get the more I realize that I HAVE to be healthier. Not just for me, but for them! They deserve a healthier Mom. I need to set a better example that what they have seen thus far. Proverbs 22:6 (New Living Translation) "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." Have a great weekend!
